Come see us at Four Corners!

Well, the craft show went so well that we decided to take a space at Four Corner Antiques on 202A in Rochester, NH.  We moved everything in today and here's how it looks.  We were really happy with how it turned out.

Look back at our previous posts to see some of these items before we re-tiqued them!
What a difference!

Looking at these pictures, we notice our space at Four Corner Antiques is a little empty because of all the items we sold yesterday at the craft fair.  Check out that post to see what the booth would have looked like.  It was the same size space!  We sold alot!
So, we're off to find more...check back to see "recently found" items coming soon.  Have a great night!

Oh Meadow Muffins!

It was late and we were both a bit punchy after spending several hours a night, for a few days in a row, preparing for our first show, after working our regular jobs all day.  So, you can imagine how two girls who were both a little too caffeinated came up wtih this name...
When we began packaging our chocolate-covered marshmallow cookies, placing them in cellphane bags with the intention of creating a gift-basket-quality treat, I said "Mom, we can't sell these like this.  They look like "you know what"".  She laughed and said "they look like cow patties".  "Meadow Muffins" I said, and we both burst into laughter!  Thus, the "Meadow Muffin" was born!
Post update: Now its one of our best sellers!  Enjoy!

Farmhouse Finds

Here are some of the "finds" we have discovered so far!  Most are in rough shape...in need re-tiquing!  Check back to see how they turn out.  But for now you'll have to use your imagination :)
This was our practice run at setting up for the upcoming craft fair.  We only have an 8x5 space...tiny!

A really cool old tool chest we found.  Lyn was thinking it would make a great tack box for horse stuff.

Loved these!

Really ugly desk!  Got a great deal though...

Our pile of "Finds"

Ain't that the truth!

Unique galvanized bin

We put these 3 juice bottles into a metal tray and "accidentally" created a great piece that can be used for starting new houseplants from clippings, or can be used as bud-vases.  Makes a unique arrangement.

This mini-terrarium in the background
was a cool yard-sale find

Love this little half table...would be great if it were black!
 We can fix that!

This shelf was gray when we got it.
A little crackle and paint made all the difference

The chickens wouldn't pose for the camera

But Mom (Sue) would!

This was our "clean and prep" day before we started
re-tiquing everything.  The craft fair is only 3 weeks away and we have alot of work to do!  Check back to see how it went.  Wish us luck!

First Show

Our first show was a craft show in Somersworth, NH.  We weren't sure what to expect, so we just brought everything!  Our space was only 10x4 so it was packed!  Check it out.
We weren't even completely set up before "early birds" flocked to our booth!  Throughout the show we were showered with compliments on our display and our work.  Everyone loved the style and the prices.

We sold mirrors, tables, doilies, plant stands, christmans ornaments, christmas greenery arrangements (using live greens), and of course, Mom's famous chocolate chip cookies!  It was amusing to see folks buy a package of cookies, then rush back to buy more.  "These are the best cookies I've ever had" they would say; a fact our friends and family have known for years!
Cats out of the bag now Mom! Everyone is going to want "Farmhouse Chocolate Chip Cookies!"

A sample of what we created
Off to set up our space at
Four Corner Antiques in Rochester, NH tomorrow!
Come see us there! (Route 202A)

Farmhouse Beginnings

This is the story of a mother, Sue, and daughter, Lyn, chasing their dream of owning an antiques and re-tiques store.  (a "re-tique" is an item that has been refinished or repurposed or restored).
Funny thing is, until 6 months ago neither knew they shared this dream.  They both dreamed silently and discovered the common interest after Antiquing one day as a way to reconnect after Sue moved back to the Southern part of New Hampshire, only about 20 minutes from Lyn. (vs. the 3 hours when she lived in the North Country Region).
Immediately Farmhouse Etc was born!
Sue brings a clean, crisp, traditional New England Farmhouse approach to the collection, while Lyn brings a French Country, shabby flair to the mix.  The result is cozy, comfy, classic...Farmhouse!
